Plagiarism is when a person turns in a paper that was written by someone other than you. If we use someone else’s words in a paper, we must provide an attribution — that is, let the reader know that someone else said that part.

Papers that have been copied from the Internet or that have used AI tools violate my plagiarism policy. (I do check papers for both of these things, and have an AI checker that I run papers through.)

If someone is caught plagiarizing, the assignment will be given a zero. The only way to then replace this zero will be to redo the assignment by hand using a different prompt. The maximum number of points available for the second assignment will be 50.

If someone plagiarizes a paper twice, an office referral will be issued.
